Eilenburg Loop

The "Eilenburger Schleife" (transl. Eilenburg loop) leads cyclists on a circuit starting from the Mulderadweg, as the onlylong tail cycle path in western Saxony, through the district capital Eilenburg to historic sites and attractions. Passing the station, the route leads along the city park with the lovingly designed animal park to the castle hill with the mountain church of St. Marien and the sorbent tower. Other highlights include Saxony's only flatland ski jump and the posting milestone on Butzbacher Platz. In the city center, the city museum in the traditional Roter Hirsch (transl. Red Deer), the newly designed marketplace, the City Hall and the Church of St. Nicholas are considered.
If you spontaneously need accommodation or information about Eilenburg, no problem, you will come directly to the tourist information office at Torgauer Str. 40 in the museum shop.
The start of the „Eilenburger Schleife“ with the first big round through Eilenburg was on September 23, 2012. Also the E-Bike charging station opened in 2013.

At the Eilenburg public swimming pool (Ziegelstraße - Eilenburg Ost), all cyclists who are traveling with an e-bike can use a charging station free of charge. Keys for the subjects can be obtained during the opening hours in the indoor swimming pool or at Velo & Sport Paul.
